tas davies FCPA

Principal

Tas brings over 30 years of Accounting and Commercial experience as the principal and founder of Namsat. He has a passion for working and assisting family businesses deal with Business Adminstration, Operations and Strategy. With a comprehensive accounting knowledge and business acumen, he provides his clients with honest practical advice, responsiveness and peace of mind.

Tas studied a Bachelor of Financial Administration at University of New England, Armidale NSW. He continued his studies, completing courses in Workplace Management at University of Sydney Leadership and Organizational Behaviour at University of Western Sydney. Tas achieved his CPA status in 1998 and admitted as a Fellow CPA in 2022.

Tas has worked in commercial and public practice accounting, Human Resources, Database Development, Information Systems and Process Improvement Roles. Tas is also a Black Belt in Six Sigma and is working in the Red Meat Processing Industry as an Innovation Manager with Wodonga Abattoir and AMPC.

After working in companies Tas decided to run his own firm in 2007 and Namsat became a CPA Practice in 2010 and is now in it’s 15th year of operation.

When Tas isn’t looking after Namsat clients he is trying to do or learn something new. He lives in Albury and has three children that he adores and has successfully not strangled as evidenced by them being responsible adults making their own way in the world. Tas has a passion for playing and coaching soccer and is learning guitar after many years – on this he is a slow learner.

We seek to build increasing integrity and will hold each other and our clients accountable to this fundamental principle. loretta ariano

Accountant & BAS Agent

Loretta brings 25 years of experience in bookkeeping, administration, compliance, and business operations to the Namsat team. In 2021, she formalised her skills by completing an accounting qualification and became a Registered BAS Agent.

Loretta is dedicated to supporting clients on their unique journeys, drawing from her extensive exposure to various industries and environments. She thrives on challenges.

Outside of work, Loretta is an avid singer who finds joy in performing, and she prioritises yoga, which plays a significant role in her weekly routine. Having spent 15 years working along the Murray River and gradually moving closer to Albury Wodonga, Loretta now embraces working with clients throughout the Riverina region.

john davern

Accountant

John brings over 25 years of expertise in financial reporting and payroll to Namsat. John started his career at Price Waterhouse as an audit trainee, working on a variety of clients including manufacturers, timber mills and government businesses. After finishing an Economics degree at The University of Sydney, John joined Ernst & Young in the Sydney audit team, where he gained exposure to the education, retail & mining sectors. John continued to gain experience through the greater Sydney area, with a focus on finance, forex, and business accounting.

After returning home to Albury, John continued to work in the accounting profession in the Macquarie Textiles Group, a manufacturer of woollen fabrics, yarn and blankets. After Macquarie, John had change of scenery at St Paul’s College in Walla Walla, a boarding school as business manager. This broader role involved helping the principal and the board grow the school both in terms of a great place to learn and of course in financial matters.

Outside of work, John is the proud Dad of twin boys. They live on a hobby farm at Jindera and care for a goats, chooks and their Maremma shepherd dog Buddy who looks after more than just the livestock. John enjoys chatting with people about all sorts of topics, reading, exercising and relaxing at night watching TV.

william davies

Business Advisory Intern

William is studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics. During his studies, William has gained experience at Risk & Compliance Solutions, servicing startups, fintech businesses, and superannuation firms around the Melbourne area.

He has also completed business advisory training with Leaders In Business, and is commencing an internship at O’Brien Accountants & Advisors. William has a keen interest in these areas of his work experience and studies, as well as for politics and finance.

William is completing an internship at Namsat to gain greater hands-on experience working with real clients, in the real world as a business advisor. Long term, William will complete his Bachelor of Commerce degree by the end of 2025, and hopes to continue to work in these spaces and take on new challenges in a graduate role.

Accounts Clerk

Frankie is studying Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce at Monash University and enjoying college life at Mannix.

For Namsat he processes Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing and Accounts Receivable.

Frankie is a natural diplomat, a shy and funny young man who is liked by all.

Frankie’s passions are Charlotte, soccer (football) and investing.
